    European Constitution Rejected

    That's an old map, since most of the Candidate countries are now members, while they all stand outside the common currency until they satisfy the economic regulations. It's funny though, I'm from Denmark and we've always been the most EU sceptical country inside the Union. We voted No to basically all the treaties, and only got them turned into a Yes by changing large parts of the stuff written in them - Denmark is for instance not a part of the military or police cooperation, and neither do we have the €. Things changed a lot the past years, when the common currency began becoming an accepted currency and it worked out the opinion changed as people saw the benefits of it (not having to exchange ones money when going on holidays in Europe can be very convenient since you might have to cross several countries - not mentioning cross national trade) and we now have a general majority for a yes to the euro (€) in Denmark. The constitution is the first treaty where there seems to be a big acceptance of it within the country, but now as Denmark is starting to become pro-EU, the big countries vote it down - stirring in the old anti-EU feelings. The worst part of it is that the reason why most people in France voted no to the constitution was not because of the actual constitution, but, as mentioned by others, domestic issues. Most people really didn't know what the constitution said, in France for instance (but all over Europe really) - it was and is called a Neo-Liberal treaty, which it's not, but being a very formal political piece of work most people won't understand what the different paragraphs says/means. The problem about the EU has always been that the politicians have tried to work on it the most efficiently, in a forum for European politicians, working on it in the best interest of the people. However, being a forum for politicians it began distancing the people of the EU with the EU, and now many people compare the EU officials as some sort of European "elite," which is a little silly but understandable since it can easily look like all decisions are made from this far off location (Bruxelles, Belgium). You will hear many left-wing parties say Europe is moving towards being "ruled" by a small Elite. The European politicians have long done a bad job of introducing and telling the people of Europe about the union, hopefully it will change now and create a more EU-positive feeling in all countries.

    Music Help

    Hi, sorry I've been busy studying for my exams next week.. :( Anyhow, the loadingup track is from Sudden Strike 1, the WW2 game and so is the ambush track. I don't remember them having any actual names, but I might be wrong. All remaning tracks in Blitzkrieg are made by previous team members though.

    Blitzkrieg I Map Editor

    Right click on the file you want to extract, and press the button called extract. Some units don't show up on the map due to a problem with the voxel, they only show up ingame.     Help!

    We've tried to help you as much as possible, you have to be more specific regarding your problem. Did you do all the things you were told in previous posts? Essentially you can do a map even without specific Blitzkrieg stuff, since there really isen't any specific Blitzkrieg terrain in version 2.0, besides the different sides' structures.

    Flamethrowe infantry would be useless, since you can't empty garrisoned buildings like in generals. They could be good for destroying buildings or other infantry; but we already got units for that.

    It's the original FA editor, you just need to extract the rulesmd.ini and artmd.ini out into you RA2 Directory.

    Right, don't worry about the lesser graphical glitches; we're still compiling everything, so there's bound to be small errors like that - its an easy fix though, like Mig pointed out.

    You shoulden't take everything as an attempt to create absolute realism, it's foremost a game, ánd we're attempting to create something which is both fun and also more or less a decent representation of reality. Originally the shells from the tanks were represented by a white line, like in Rise of Nations, but I thought it would look better with a little smoke trailer as well. It does come out quite well ingame.

    It's quite simple really, I gave the vehicles a deathweapon which essentially work like a flame weapon. I got the idea when coding the Churchills flamethrower, as it leaves a little flame on the targeted area; I then thought it could be neat if destroyed vehicles did the same. Anyhow, the deathweapon simply has a particle system attached to it, and a flame animation. You did it differently?

    Yes Lao Tze did the infantry, which btw is an outstanding work. When I say we I mean that the graphics in the game is made by the team, and is not something we have taken from elsewhere. Anyhow, I was playing another game, on the Italian Collision map, and I had this squad of Stug III's parked in the city, holding their ground well considering the odds. The odds being 3 Stugs against 6-8 Shermans, they [The Shermans] came in a line though, which made them an easy prey. However, as you can see, the Stugs didn't make it, but one of them became elite just before the remaining Shermans took it off days. Made me think of Stalingrad, last man standing. Notice the smoke and flames on the ground, everywhere you see a little flame with smoke comming from it, there has been a tank which was destroyed.

    And we should just note that I won the first game. :D But in the second we had a connection error. Anyhow, I have a screenshot from the latest version as well, this was just during a skirmish game though; it shows my hard pressed Russian army, after a series of Allied raids.

    I'm here, but i'm pretty much in the same situation as Raminator.. My exams are in like two months, and I kinda depend on those to get into university. I simply can't afford to put my school aside as I did a year ago, so for now I'm pretty occupied.

    Blitzkrieg Lives

    Being one of the longest surviving mods in the community, there's no way we'll let it die now. Sure, there haven't been much progress lately, and I am to blame for that - however, this is due to the fact that I haven't had a whole lot of free time, and when I do, I prefere spending it on something relaxing to get the mind of things, and not simply work on something else. With the comming Christmas break expect to see progress speed up again, if everything goes accordingly I don't see why we shoulden't finally release. Ask anyone who worked on the latest builds, and they'll tell you how close we are to have a very good product whorthy of being released. Anyhow, that's all for now.     How Many Of You Got Half-Life 2 For Christmas?

    Ravenholm was awesome, along with the assault on the prison. Could have been a scene from Starship Troopers, I guess Valve got alot of inspiration from all the new "horror" movies likes Resident Evil and Dawn of the Dead, many of the scenes from the game reminded me of those anyhow.

    Tech Building Victory

    Quite a strange error, nothign we've heard of before. I don't really know what to tell you, since we don't have any experience with this error, try to avoid having anything but the Blitzkrieg files in the directory and make sure it's a clean ra2:YR installation.

    Status Of The Mod

    Well, we're closing in on the release, and version 3.0 is beginning to look really good. With the aid of Major Gilbear and Andre we've moved alot more rapidly towards the release then I could ever have wished for, so a big thanks to the two of you! Also, a new member to the team, Typhoon, has been working hard on creating the campaign for awhile, and it seems to be shaping up nicely! Anyhow, a screenshot says more then a thousand words, so I'll end my little essay here and show you a little of version 3.0! (The new terrain graphics are also created by us, and is not taken from another game)

    Andre is working on the Ai, and he's doing an excellent job! Even the current AI I have is making flak tracks and cannons. I'm confident the Ai will be far more challenging, when we release 3.0, then most of you expect B)

    Request: WW2 Images

    Feel free to advertise both mods, alot of work has gone into both D-Day and Blitzkrieg and if either of the teams still feel the urge to hide the other mods progress, it would be vey very immature, at least in my oppenion. The Red Alert 2 community is shrinking and any team which is dedicated enough to keep working on an outdated game for pure pleasure deserves attention. What you like the most is of course your chooise, but give either mod a chance at least, being involved with Blitzkrieg, I would of course like to keep your attention here, but in the end it's your chooise alone. What you find the most appealing is all up to you, especially since either of us haven't released any recent beta's only the graphoics represent our work, which isen't entirely fair. Anyhow, Welcome to the Blitzkrieg boards.

    Yotta, that's a rather radical political statement you put foreward there. I don't know if you did it to provoke, or you actually mean it. If your serious, well then so be it, it's your belief, however if you put forth any racist or discriminative remarks you'll be banned. I won't remove your statement as I believe people should be allowed to believe in what they want to and have their own political openion, but you have to accept that most people won't find this very appealing at all. "blablablubb " Yotta stated that he believed in the nazi ideals and that he wished the war would have been won by the germans. I don't want to pursue you for your political ideals, but I want you to be aware of the fact that when you post something in public you have to stand by it. Don't think we don't understand you because it's in german, most people here are European anyhow.
