    Maps Maps I Need More Maps

    Concerning challenges map Sovietsteel, there will be 2 or maybe 3 new challenges map included in the next patch: USA 1946 (see description in the news section), Barbarossa 1941 (using a nice Pivac map), and ww2 begins (covering the 1939-1940 era with French tanks and new Maginot turetts). ;)
  3. Yes From Norway, its a nuke site in the desert...a site west coast players have to protect cause it will definitely be a target for Russian and German armies ;)
  4. Interesting analyze Flyby....But even without their declaration of war against the USA, Americans were already involved in the war. And after Pearl Harbour the target was Japan AND the axis forces, German's declaration of war or not. My personal view about Germany most crucial error was to declare war on Russia. Dealing with 2 fronts (Africa and France) would had been easier (but not necessary easy) than it was with 3 fronts. It may seems curious to think about Germany and Russia on the same side against Allies considering the political situation in Europe between the 2 wars. In Germany communism and nazism were fighting each other for power before the nazi party get the majority of the votes. But business is business and the 2 nations had many economic agreements and even military agreements (like the invasion and the sharing of Poland in 1939). Is this "partnership" could had last some more years if there was no Barbarossa? Many experts don't think so but...who knows.... Any scenario on wich ww2 would had last longer than it was, could had lead to a much more dramatic ending with US nukes dropped over Europe cities...or German nukes over Great Britain...

  6. Most of you have noticed the mismatch errors happening during most of the online games. This bug happen at anytime during a game, on any map and with different players. As long as we have this annoying problem, online games become less attractives and even the next tourney is postponed indefinitely. Considering this topic get much more exposure here in the general section than in the support section and considering the emergency of the situation, i'm calling all brilliants brains of this communauty to join their ressources to solve the problem. The one who finally resolve the enigma will win 3 prizes: First: the proud to be the one who saved Blitz 2.6 :P second: the opportunity to order any map he want (regular map, challenge, objective, anything) and the map will be made according to all his specifications and "could be" included in the official map pack in the next patch. And the third price: he can order any new 2 units of his choice and these units will be include in the next patch (Phoib offer) !!!!!! Here's some exemples to help you to solve the enigma: - Problem happend during a game between 2 players. These players replay on the same map and this time the problem doesnt occur! - Problem happen frequently late in the game...but also after 10-15 min of play - Problem happen on different maps (small or large, regulat map or challenge map) - Test were made to destroy all units of Blitz one by one and the problem didnt happen. It seems that its a mixt of different events who make the mismatch.   7. The last tests made by beta testers show that there was definitely something related to some units mg. The fix Korona made seems to resolve the problem. I think there's little work to do on it and after Phoib could release a new patch. But basically the problem is almost resolved ;)
  8. USA 1946 is almost completed and should be available during the next days. What challenge could be completed next? Additionnals info: 1- BATTLE OF BRITAIN (0% done): This was Bob's suggestion on the previous poll: "China Walls across the sealanes, so there can be no land invasion until the Luftwaffe destroy say 5 targets in England (which makes the walls disappear)" So first stage is to hit the targets with the luftwaffe, and the next is to invade Britain. And obviously the longer it takes, the more British forces can be built" 2- EUROPE AUTUMN 44: Players:4 (2 axis, 1 allies, 1 russia) Theatre: all europe (from France to Russia) Set-up: Allies and Russians wil definitely outproduce Germany on every front...but ....if Germans hold the lines they could switch their production to high tech units: exemple : What results a Maus division (reinforcement) could give when they are sended on the eastern front against hords of T-34(85), IS-2 and ISU-152? (Korona suggestion). Progress: 60% done 3- WW2 BEGINS Players: 2 (French + Britts, axis) Theatre: Poland , Germany, France & Czechoslovakia on spring 1939 Set-up: Depending what German player do, other player may get reinforcements. 3 types of French tanks vs German Pz II, III &IV Progress: 67% done 4- DOVER-HAMBURG AIR FIGHT Players: 2 (allies, axis) Theatre: Cities of Hamburg and Dover Set-up: Exclusively an air fight with bombers trying to bomb opponent city. Specific ground targets give points (eg. radar stations in Dover....oil factories and boat yard in Hamburg). Theres a counter on the screen. 30 minutes game. Progress: 75% done
  9. Dr Shrinker underline a good point on a post he made about balance on the challenge maps. Should these challenges be totally balanced to give all players same chance to win or should it be the more historical as possible (eg. production ratios) even if it could make one side stronger at a specific time and maybe weaker later? If the answer to this poll is one way oriented i could make adjustemnets to the currents challenges and the next ones.

    Bob you're refering to the Barbarossa challenge where T-34 factories in Kharkov and Stalingrad could be destroyed and automaticaly relocated (with a 3 months delay) in Urals in 1941. As you know the Operation Zitadelle challenge start in july 1943 when these factories were "already" relocated in Urals. At start Germans are very powerful and they could easily win if Russians don't have access to all their factories. Remember that at start Germans have their Panzer IV upgraded, Panthers, Tigers and Ferdinands facing the non upgraded T-34 and the SU-76. But i hear ya and it could be an option to revamp the old 1941 challenge and include units of 1941 = PanzerII & III, T-35, T-28, KV1 :)

  14. Here is a screen shot of a mismatch on a small test map. Bob was Soviet and i played Axis. The mismatch happend 1 second after the screen shot. Take note of the Russian transport vehicule diseabled while a Russian towed gun coming from behind goes inside the diseabled vehicule....
  15. -Weston Nope.....all maps had mismatchs..the old ones (Europe Shrinkfield, Europe 1939, etc.)....all the official maps and even a new map i made for testing mismatchs
  16. Yeah Phoib we had guns and art towed and moving while others were deployed. We send at opponent fire all these units in a non stop big carnage who last about 30 minutes....But our mismatch happend later when we leave art and AT guns on the side and start to fight with tanks!
  17. ok first a game with 100s of Russian mortars, AT guns, Axis Art, AT guns.....nothing happend. Then we decided to build tanks and later the MM happend. Map: Middle east 42 test map Number of players: 2 Player: Stump and Neo name Side: Axis vs Soviets Amount of XP, sciences he bought: both at the max (we gave players the max at start) Did he use superweapons or the paradrop: yes russians paradrops were landing on Panzer IV division What units did he use: on the map there was Kingtigers, PzIV H, T-34, T-70 We tried to simulate this soviet para over a pzIV division but nothing happend this time :huh:

  19. Phoib told me that there's a third price for the one who solve the mismatch problem: 2 NEW UNITS OF HIS CHOICE WILL BE MADE AND INCLUDED IN A NEXT CHALLENGE MAP (maybe in a mission too)
  20. Mysterious thing....i can't get mismatchs anymore..can't get it the last 4 games....allies vs germans (2vs2), soviets vs germans (1vs1) and (2vs2), and finaly soviets vs soviets....It's really weird :huh:
  21. -Bob I agree with PSI Bob, it happens sometimes at the very begining of a game when players have almost no units....even during a test where player B had about 100 pre builded units and players A only 10 units...very weird problem :blink:
  22. jos the game crashed because we builded too many units while Abba was afk eating chiken and ribs...but we had time to play 1 hour without any prob!
  23. ok we played (3 players) a game with tons of soviet art and AT guns and no mismatch at all :o
  24. From Norway and i just played a game on a map where we had mismatch before. This time nothing happend....We never builded Russian art or AT gun this time....Maybe it means something...maybe not :huh:
