Good, sir Trevor, I have recently extoled the fact that someone made a comment that you should have made, but they said you had left. I, being not of the nay-sayers, knew that it would be only a matter of time that we would be once again graced with your awesomeness. I, unusually, was right. Good to see you. :)

I work at a company where all we use are Dell's, and it is my job to take care of them. It had a hinge you say? That would mean it had two dark patches on the top and bottom near the rear of the computer. Those are release buttons to be pushed at the same time, and the computer opens like a book. Your brute force tactics took almost an hour, when you could have been done in seconds if you had taken five minutes to find the answer. Thanks for explaining, that obviously didn't work we tried that the first 15 minutes. Dell is shit, admit it, smartass. How would it be obvious if the information was never imparted to anyone other than those involved? Yeah, that was a smart-ass remark. My bad. Vista is absolutely unsuited for the environment I am currently forced to endure. I have Vista on my home computer, and have yet to need to open the case after installing the hardware the first time. Must be something wrong with your computer to have the need to know that function. :P <jk> While Dell has had some MAJOR motherboard issues with capacitors, the latest has been stable so far. I use the Optiplex line, in office and home, and they are a bit more robust than the Dimension line, as the Dimensions I've bought in the beginning didn't make it much past the first year. Shit? Naw. They're alright. You just had a run of bad luck, and something had to have happended to that computer to cause those release buttons to fail in their function. They don't just break. Once you got inside, what was the state of the inside? Moisture and dust can cause the case to stick together and make it nigh on impossible to get it open without a blowtorch. I had one lady bring me her home machine. She couldn't figure out why it would run, and I turn it around to look at the back, and it is rusted. I asked her if she knew anything about moisture and she said the computer was always on, and beside a door that was always left open to allow the ocean breeze in. Needless to say, I, too, had to use hand-tools.

Got it within the first 100 downloads that night, and stayed up for a while playing with it. Some kooky functionality problems with the blend inward tool, but the rest seems relatively bug-free. Glad this editor came out. I need to make some maps for this game so I can acquaint myself with the textures, props, and scripts. Then, the modding. Damnit, why am I still at work? Come on, 5 o'clock!

Maybe they are a smaller percentage, but you know, mod makers will lose this fight, anyway. Why, you ask? Money. Those 'competitors' are vying for cash prizes. If there was more money to be had in modding than their 'sport', we'd be in the fabled cat-bird seat, and those who make mod-centric demands of game companies would be in a better position to lobby their interests. They'll make CnC3 as stable as they can before they release any sort of editing software, but not until after TFD Hall of Fame Screenshot Contest.

Some people are like slinkies. Not good for anything, but it still brings a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs. I read a PCGamer article and came to check it out. A few months later, I registered, and have stayed, though, sometimes, I've considered leaving for various reasons, but in the end, I remain because I like what I do. I don't really talk to many people, much, and those I do, probably wish I didn't. ;)
