    Pearl Habour

I believe the choice of targets was reasonable, but I will say that I could imagine a very good argument opposing this. The reason I believe this is simple: the United States was in a total war. Eliminating Japan's ability to make war was more important the eliminating their current military capabilities. Since Allied planners could not know for sure whether Japan would surrender, it was best to destroy the target that would have the most long-term value (Hiroshima had sustained minimal bombing damage from conventional campaigns, and was thus relatively intact before the bombing). Both military installations and factories can be replaced, but the lost production from the missing factories and manpower is the difference. Nanking, on the other hand, was already occupied, and thus did not pose any industrial threat. Now, as for Japanese atrocities. THEY ARE IN NO WAY JUSTIFIABLE. Trying to justify what Japan did by what the US did to SAVE LIVES is playing the 'devil's advocate'. The worst part, though, is that those Jap bastards refuse to admit their evil in the war. Germans, on the other hand, are so overapologetic it's almost annoying. The Japanese were worse than the Nazis. Japan deserved everything that came to them. They should be glad that it was not China that occupied them in the end. The Chinese would not hesitate to simply exterminate the entire Japanese race.

Is the F-35 going to be in this mod? It could be available to all USA generals (the Air Force General's F-35s could be 25% cheaper like they are in real life).

Everyone else has claimed this, too. The Russians, Israelis, Canadians, British, blah blah blah, all claim that they have stealth detecting radar. None of these have been combat tested. Besides, implementing such a system would be expensive: Maybe if there was one REALLY expensive building in the Iraqi and Korean tech tree that would allow them to detect stealth planes that got in range then it would be realistic. Having every bottom-rung guard able to detect stealth is unacceptable. Also, if they had such unlimited monetary resources in this, why would they settle for low-quality front-line troops, when they could just as easily match the United States? The fast part is a characteristic of all jet aircraft. Even the most advanced AAA have difficulty shooting down jets. The idea I was going for is that an opponent could build several hundred infantry for less cost, overrun the entire base, and thus destroy the stealth planes on the ground (the planes would not be able to target them effectively). The stealth planes would take longer to rearm, as they do. Alternatively, they could buy the cheaper MiG-s and Su-s, fly into the base on a suicide mission, and destroy the airfield quickly. Anyway, I thought the F-117 should be removed. The current plan for the USAF is to replace all F-117s with F-22s (or F-35s). The concept behind stealth planes is that the radar signature is small enough that it will be ignored. Who is going to lookout for a flock of sparrows on the radar or even allow their radar to pickup on such meaningless stuff when it could just be a flock of sparrows? The F-117 that was downed was not stealthy on all wavelengths. I knew someone was going to mention that.

    Us Marines

Will there be an infantry unit armed with the M249? I haven't seen anything. The M249 is central to any Marine fire team.

I think they should be made totally stealth. No stealth plane has ever been shot down. The compromise would be that they would be EXTREMELY expensive (maybe as much as a superweapon). There would still be a way to destroy them: overwhelm the airfield (probably with infantry, the most low-tech unit available). This is entirely realistic. AAA is almost totally worthless against stealth planes. Stealth planes are too fast, too hard to detect, and fly too high. The whole idea that the Quad Cannons and Gatling cannons could be more effective against 'King Raptors' and 'Stealth Fighters' than anything else was about the stupidest thing I ever saw. On a related point, is the F-35 going to be included in this mod?
