Animation

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

i had a general question. When i convert my render of my cruiser with particles that is a total of 26 slides in length, its way to fast. how can i slow down the animation? im using 3ds max.

basically, im asking how to set general animation settings.

The perception of speed is regulated by the frames per second.

Right click on the play button to see what frame rate settings you have it set NTSC , PAL or a custom value....

Having set that to fe 25 fps, that means you'll need to render 25 images to achieve one second.

Considering you currently only have 26 frames and you want it 4 times longer and slower, you'll have to rescale the animation from 26 to 104 frames.

When you then render it out, it will play for 4 seconds and much slower...

thats true....but the problem im having is that the actually video is way to fast. Because the particle is computer generated, it is like going REALLY fast.

and you need a pair of glasses....

I said "rescale the animation"...

normally any animation will have it's keyframes adjust to match the new scale.

and if the particle's velocity is too high, simply reduce it by the same factor you've scaled the keyframes.
