mastermind 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 Required Applications Installer A little thing I hacked up to make using the SDK a little easier, since you don't need to track down the random DLL files and VC++ Runtime. It just installs them for you.
Bibber 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 The SDK is just crap. There is no possibility to change the menus (font, font color, text, etc.). I can only change the pictures (tga). LOL And the documentation ... sorry but: no comment! I tried to add a new faction -> failed. Why don't we get tools to extract the original files from the BIG files? EA just suxx! mastermind 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 http://www.cnc3.net/item-142?addview Adding a faction is really not that hard. You just need to know how. Did you actually look through the documentation? It covers a lot of the basics of working with the SDK. If you want the advanced stuff, you're going to have to figure it out on your own, or wait for someone to write a tutorial for you. As for why there aren't tools for extracting from the BIG files, why would EA even have that sort of thing? They have all of the source assets. It's the same reason they wouldn't have a W3X importer. They have the source art for everything, so they don't need it.
Bibber 0 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 I forgot that EA is still using ini files. Anyway, thanks.
