WARNING SNOW LEOPARD (10.6) USERS:

It seems that the installer will not work on Snow Leopard anymore. There are some troubles with AppleScript which is used for some of the postinstall scripts and it seems that there is no possibility to fix this without a major bug fix from Apple.

I'm sorry for the problems.

Regards

starfury

BLITZKRIEG 2 MOD R3.01 INSTALLER README

Blitzkrieg 2 Mod R3.01 Installer is a installer for the Blitzkrieg 2 Mod

for Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour for Macintosh computer.

Blitzkrieg II is a World War 2 total conversion for Command and Conquer:

Generals - Zero Hour.

More information about on the Derelictstudios website at

http://www.derelictstudios.net.

Because of some troubles with AppleScript in Snow Leopard (10.6) this

is a custom installer which doesn't use the Apple Package Manager for

creating the installer for more flexibility.

The installer is currently beta, but works well on my 10.6 machine.

LICENSE

I don't know which license applies to the Blitzkrieg 2 Mod so if you're

interested visit the Derelictstudios website.

This installer is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but

WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of

MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

REQUIREMENTS

- A Macintosh computer (tested only on Intel platforms)

- Mac OS 10.5.6 (not tested on OS versions below, 10.6 works as well)

- Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour

- Latest C&C patch applied (Zero Hour minimum version 1.0.2)

- 1250 MB of free space at you hard disk for standalone installation

INSTALLATION

Double click the "Blitzkrieg 2 Mod R3.01 Installer.dmg" image. After the

image is mounted double click the Installer application and follow the

installation instructions.

The installer wants to now where Zero Hour is installed. The "search"

option looks for the application in "/Applications" folder and if it

is not found asks the user to specify the path manually. After that

the Blitzkrieg data files are unpacked into to parent directory of Zero

Hour (if Zero Hour is in "/Applications/C&C/Zero Hour" Blitzkrieg will

be installed to "/Applications/C&C/Blitzkrieg 2 Mod R3.01"), then the

Zero Hour files needed for running BLitzkrieg are copied.

You can start Blitzkrieg by launching the "Zero Hour" application in

the Blitzkrieg folder.

INSTALLATION WARNINGS

If you get a warning that the disk space is to low you have to make

some space at you /root device (this coulees happen if you have

Zero installed on an external drive sorry folks).

If you get a warning that the Zero Hour version is incompatible you

can override this an install it anyway (if you are sure your Zero

Hour version is applicable).

BUGS/ERRORS

If the installer does not work as it should you can open the install

package in Finder with (show package contents) and extract the

bkinstallerdata.tar archive manually. Then you have to copy the

following files and folders from your Zero Hour directory:

Zero Hour Data/Data/Cursors/

Zero Hour Data/game.dat

Zero Hour Data/Generals.dat

Zero Hour Data/generals.lcf

Zero Hour Data/GensecZH.big

Zero Hour Data/langdata.dat

Zero Hour Data/patchget.dat

Looks like the dl is down due to issues with the mac version. We will post more info as soon as it is available.

Gr. DirtyHarry

Thanks DirtyHarry, I managed to find an older version (2.6), so in the mean time I'll have a go on that.

Cheers
