IconOfEvi 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2009 If you've kept up with Red Alert 2 modding, there were two eventual 'hack' patches that added features to the RA2/YR code. While adding many features that many Red Alert 2 need and use now ( Robot Storm and Mental Omega ), RockPatch and NPatch eventually for one reason or another stopped production. Eventually, in stepped RockPatch2, or named "Ares". Its a total rewrite, hoping to avoid problems with the previous projects, namely the tending towards instability. It functions instead by inserted dll files - therefore, the eventual goal is if you are a decent programmer, you will be able to add features. Some features added so far by DCoder as examples: Unit spotlights, also with big all around lights (not shown because its a gif) Certain features re-enabled... The project looks to be amazing.
