It's not about being offended, but here (in Germany) swastikas are banned. That's one reason why many people really don't like to see them... Well, maybe it has got something to do with our history as well...? ;) But to be honest, I just want to have them ingame for the purpose of realism. :D Pretending that something doesn't and didn't ever exist won't change history, right? In fact, the whole topic of national socialism and WWII is so sensitive that everybody has to be very careful in what he says. One wrong word or not enough hate and distrust in your words and everyone thinks your a Nazi. Sounds kinda weird to people from other countries, doesn't it? Here in Germany you get arrested if you have a swastika on your bag or something. You can get banned from your school if you say that you support hitler's view about the world. He lead a entire nation that just got over a war and lead them. he was way ahead of his time devloping techonolgy that we are still using today. his goal was to lead germany into a great nation. I respect him for how he thought and not what he did. back on the swastikas. theres a folder in your genrals directory the files there replace the flags wiht the swastikas. its an option you can have them if you want but where not making it manditory. I agree with you Hawk. He really is the 'Fuhrer', and an intelligent one but fortunately for the world, he's not much of a military tactician that led his downfall. I've never seen any 'goody-goody-two-shoes' as intelligent as he is. I'd rather think of his positive achievements like wiping out the massive unemployment rate and depreciation, and shaping Germany into one strong and industrial nation, and I believe that such achievements are very rare in some nations nowadays, that's just me guys ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He thought the allies would land directly in Germany from England in teh North or East Sea and send most of his troops there instead of in teh Normandie 1944! He even sent his troops to Russia without winter-clothing because he wanted them to believe that they would be finished in Russia before the winter would even start! I think the Wehrmacht was one of the greatest army's the world has ever seen but it had one big problem: it's leader and comander Adolf Hitler. Believe me he wasted a whole nation, army and even country! Look at Germany before 1939 and now. He destroyed the only small remaining part of germany's strength in another war! He fought a war against the whole world, only idiots do that and even believe they can win! But this is gettin off from the topic! If you really want to know more in-depth pick up a few bibliographic books about Hitler and learn the facts, instead of constructing opinions out of thin air. :( The only idiot is he who never questions what he sees and reads. The motive for the creation of the State was that genocide of 6 mil Jews should never happen again and that the Jewish should unite and be able to defend them against any future genocide. As you know from history, it was created artificially by "relocating" the existing Palestinian population. Sadly, the international community made an enormous blunder by dismissing the complaints and claims of the local population. As years passed by, the conflict escalated a few times (6 day war). Without any real commitment of the international western community to solve the slumbering problem in the Middle East, the conflict had over 50 years to rot beyond repair and to polarize into blind hatred from both camps. The irony is that in the attempt to repair one injustice, the western community created a new one. This new injustice is currently being used as locomotive by Islamic fundamentalist to validate their aggression and intolerance as being just. The frightening thing is that they are partially right (there is a factual injustice happening right now), so the extremists can easily continue to rally new members for their cause. The Western culture is either too blind or too arrogant to solve the problem. And what ever the American president may say, a war against "terrorists" can only be won if you tackle the source and the reason why people become terrorists. Besides, what one calls a terrorist, is called a “freedom fighter” by the other. It only depends on which side of the fence you're standing.... In this way you can say that Nazism is still part of what the world we live in, because if hitler haden't started WW2, we wouldn't have had these type of problems, but other ones... :( But Hitler is also an indirect cause that the US became a superpower: the war opened up the US economy on a scale that no one ever had seen before. I've noticed on several occasion Israeli leader(s) deliberately abuse historical facts, like the genocide and anti-Semitism, to suit their own political agenda. I call that pervert. It's the type of "if you're not with us then you're against us" attitude that makes me go ballistic... :unsure: That the "Old Europe" is against the current Israeli politic of isolation, "apartheid" and humiliation of Palestinians is no secret. But to jump to the conclusion that by this we are anti-Semitists is outrageous. Anti-Semitism is based upon difference of religion and ethnics, not upon differences in political attitudes. 30mins ago I've heard a remarkable news bit : Immigration of Jews into Israel is now lower then the immigration into Germany... kornlord283 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2003 probably biggest reason of anti-semitism is coz everyone hates us, america we got money, we got houses, we got everything we dont need and all the other people barely have anything we have other than some food and a roof, so some of them obviously hate us for that then israel, well britain just put them in their after ww2 so the middle east is pissed about that obviously. we give more aid to israel then any other nation, so fundamentally israel is a jewish "american junior", so they hate america for our ideals, and they the anti-semitism because they were planted in their land and because of the differences in religion and ethics, creating our terrorists and their heroes. what we call "terrorists" are what they call their "freedom fighters" like what flyby said before, because they stand up against our "american empire" which is pretty right in alot of respects. our impression to them is that we go around "americanizing" the world. afghanistan was reasonable because they attacked us first, but then came iraq, and now iran, korea, syria....
