Wow! I didnt know ppl were still working on AR2. Nice voxel there, I recognize it from the concept. The drill things on the front make it great for the missions where you get reinforced by MCV from underground.

that would be kinda gay.... you could just tell ur mcv to drill a tunnel to the enemy base and deploy there and just start building defense structures and a barracks right in the middle of the enemy's base....

No. We are still trying to let Nemesis receive reinforements from map scripts, but right now we don't have any map maker willing to implement that.

Well I'd love to...

BTW I thought of a tructure when you build it it is a beacon that charges for 6 min and when they are over, the MCV comes in and the beacon is sold automatically.

I know how to make reinforcement triggers and scripts, yes.

But that would be like a structure a player can build to get an MCV. Can YOU code the game to do that cuz it would be awsome ;)

Hmm, a structure?

 

You will have to write the trigger so that the player will receive a MCV if

(1) his CY is gone

(2) he has a tech center

are the triggers going to go on forever? or just happen once?

 

 

cuz some1 can just sell their conyard, get one through reiforcements, sell it again, get another one, sell, etc... its like infinite cash

Interesting. But ah, that is going to be easy to avoid I guess.

Perhaps we could make the construction yard unsellable, perhaps we could make it give you only $0 after you sold it, perhaps we make the map script deduct $5000 from you every time, or perhaps we install a 10 minute gap before the CY's destruction and the MCV's arrival (hey I like this idea).

Um, just a quick point; if the MCV arrives from underground, bear in mind that most player base locations are heavily paved :)

 

As far as selling the CY goes, just make it worth $0. As long as the soylent is appropriate, it shouldn't be an issue I don't think.

 

 

And BTW; Glad everyone liked the MCV! :(
