wuyanxu 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2004 what exactly is the spyware/virus? can your detector detect it? if you can, then delete it. or reset to dos and delete it.
Bloodredwolf 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2004 i stumbled acros a hijacker some time ago, two runs of spybot and adawre in a row solved the problem. the one i found stuck inside system dll, so the anti-spy programms could only erase them before i log on. can't remember the name of this. btw about:blank is a hijacker for adaware
wuyanxu 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2004 about:blank is a hijacker for adaware :P everytimes, i open IE, it says about:blank, so i thought that's an empty page  hey Bloodredwolf, you haven't posted for a while, i wonder where you went.

Bullet_shrapnel 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 *note: drop Norton, there are so many viruses out there that attack it specifically your better off without it. Try McAfee (costs money, lots of money) AVG anti-virus (free! Cha-ching!) instead.

Le_Poisson 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I look at porn all the time and my comp isn't infested with hijackers and what not. I have spy bot too, so that helps. Tell your big brother to buy some videos if he's 18 or older. Then he won't have to use the comp. ^_^ (Wish I was old enough to buy some vids for myself, would be nice....I have a DVD player on my comp, hasn't seen any use yet save for once).
