Eisenhower 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 (edited) I'm making a map on Photoshop to keep progress when the Atrigan World Domination Tour starts (after 5.0 is released). It will be played on an advancement basis. That is, each player who signs up will get a position on the map below, you play against the opposition who stands in your way - i.e. if you're Genesis you fight a Nemesis opponent. If you win, you destroy him and continue. A player who reaches the other faction's city (the ones on the map) will get the chance to destroy the other faction once and for all. He must be stopped at all costs and if he succeeds in destroying the city then that faction loses. ATM I'm still thinking about how advancement can be kept track of. I've got two ideas: 1. I can put various towns scattered across the map, and you fight from town to town until you reach the City. 2. I can put a grid format, say if you win you advance 2 grids north, south, east or west (It'll be your choice), and proceed to the Cities. Either way empty towns or empty gridsquares must be won over by beating say, a couple of GOD opponents? I'm still thinking about this so if anyone has any ideas post away. I'll think about it. @Casojin No, it's just a small part of Atrigo, sorta like comparing Hawaii and the world. :P @Chrono That would be kind of unfair because then it's hard to defeat the Nemesis. Everytime you beat an opponent or a GOD AI, you are allowed to move a maximum of 3 grid squares in any direction. However, you must move in a straight line only, no turning. Diagonal included, right? 6. Once you reach the opponent's city, you are allowed to attack that city (Genesis if you are Nemesis). Enemy players within 5 grids of the city will return to defend their city. A maximum of 4 defenders is allowed, and if there are no human opponents around, you will fight GOD AIs. Anyhow, it will be a 4v1, 4v2, 4v3, or 4v4 attack, depending on how many attackers are there. Does that mean that there will be four players to defend a city always? If only one human is near enough to defend, it will be him + 3 brutal AI's? Post the endgame scores. How do you take a screenshot of the endgame? There'll always be 4 players defending the City, but how many attackers there are depends on how many are in the vicinity. A strategy for attackers would be to push all the way to the city but wait for comrades to arrive before attempting to take it by force. -Well, I can. I have a print screen button. if you really can't then you'll have to take a photo using a digicam and upload it. And there you are Yamato, the people prefer doing it here at DS.
