Black DoomsDragon 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2005 (edited) I suggest we get back on topic, it would be good for the team, and PCTeen1 and the rest of DS moderating staff wouldn't have to close another thread Edited January 4, 2005 by Black DoomsDragon
Abrams_MBT 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2005 already posted my mind, so what do you think about? the purpose of building a .50 per tank instead of for all tanks, is to avoid to have to much super tanks...
STURMSHREK 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2005 I think to ensure a greater cohesiveness to America's combat doctrine of the game which revolves around air based weapons, the MBT would NOT need a machine upgrade for AA since the tank should have air escorts or AA escorts. If the heavy MBT has AA capability of any sorts it will be harmful to the balance of the game. So for balance issues, I think the heavy MBT should not have AA capability in this case. blackhawk 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2005 I think it should have one. Or at least have one modelled on for looks.

Rapier 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2005 Great job i like it a lot better than the other one (It looked like the Leopard 2 tank (German), and there are two .50 cal MGs on the Abrams is used for both Anti-Air and Infantry surpression.
Godwin 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2005 um, there is one, there are two 7.62mm MGs
IronRaptor 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2005 you sure godwin....i was thinking the top turret gunner, (not the tank commanders gun or the coaxle) was a .50 cal.....maybe im wrong i dunno, i thought it was a .50 cal with a .50 cal coaxle.....and the tank commanders is a 7.62mm.....i might be wrong so dont quote me on that.....just from most of my FPS games the top machine gun was a .50 cal
Rapier 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2005 Godwin you're right there is a 7.62mm mounted COAX and then the loader gets a 7.62mm MG mounted on the top of the turret and the tank commander gets a .50 cal mounted on top of the turret. Abrams_MBT is right it is a 120mm smoothbore gun (The US has used three major main tank guns since WWII the 90mm (Korea) the 105mm (Vietnam) and the 120mm (Gulf War onwards). and the Avenger doesn't have a M2 it has a .50cal incorperated into the fire control system for close in targets.
