Who The Hell Are You?

I like cliffs.

What camera do you have there?

I use a Canon XSi (450d). Few years old now but runs like a champ.

I've got the XTI, aslo a few years old now, but runs like a champ biggrin.gif. Yours is the successor to mine. SLRs are awesome!

Took these two last summer (I'm not a photoshop pro, so you can see the photo lines in the panoramic). Sadly I don't have the HQ copies on my laptop, so these facebook ones will have to suffice. They were taken during my hike up to the top of Mount Bourgeau in the Rocky Mountains.

SLRs are the best. I want to get a 70D sometime but that's an investment. Also, use Lightroom and Photoshop CS6. It has a feature to auto stich panoramas and it works super well.

Very nice. Thanks for letting me know about those features one year, seven months later :)

@IconOfEvi: Oooooh a cake-day. Hope it was good!

Hey everybody! Been a loooooooooooooooong time. So happy to see the site still up, and even the forums still up with familiar names posting. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to everybody here. I'm a professional 3D artist working on TV shows and film in Vancouver, Canada now because of you guys, and planning on moving into game development shortly. Little 12 year old me stumbled in here something like 13 (!!) years ago wanting to learn how to make tanks in 3D. Not only did you teach me (shoutout to Killa's tutorial for gmax ;)/> ), you let me help on the mods! What a boost of confidence to a kid; to be part of some of the most popular mods at the time. You guys are awesome, and hope life has been as kind to you as at has been to me. Good luck out there, folks!

Nice to know someone got a career out of reading those. Even though the guy who wrote them is still a miserable failure who can't get a job in a game company even if he offered to work for free...

Head on over to Canada, they can't get enough artists out here!

Although the forum went into hibernation, it is still great to revisit a few times a year...

Nice to see Weston you made a career out of your hobby..

And you Killa? still in the army? last time we spoke you were contemplating re-entering military service... how did that go?

From time to time i still see Greg (our kickass texture designer) popup on my skype notification...

Smurfbizkit also popsup from time to time and to show me their progress on that SC2 WW2 mod he's working on. goes very slow, it seems, but the unit design is really really good... a bit sci-fi ww2 -ish.. love it.

Hell, even Logan is still in my contact list and i spoke to him last year. He showed me some amazing airplane plans (front/side/top) he colored.

ah so much fun with the old Blitz crew...

As for me, i had a brief moment of nostalgia last year and started modding Zero Hour again, but helas, i soon ran out of available free time again... so after 2 weeks my 1946 project went belly up again... no time, which is in essence the fate of any 3D freelancer :)

Did however find a solution to limit the traverse of a bunker gun..i recall we've researched that for weeks and weeks, in the old days, and never found a solution... no need place turrets anymore. :)

Also tried to get the aircraft carrier logic working on a regular airfield, but failed at that... although I've seen half finished mods that do have that feature... damnit !

It is with some serious nostalgia i look back on the good old Blitz-modding days. My current workload just doesn't have room for these type of free time indulgences anymore. Currently I drifted more into actual Tv-set decor designing, then mere rendering them, like in the past. Artistically more rewarding for sure, but it gobbles up all my free time...

Oh well...

success in life, guys !

Funny you mentioning airfields, me and Korona were recently discussing ways of making aircraft easier to use in Blitz2. My idea was to just make the airfield a sort of weird superpower weapon, where you click a power button on an area you want to attack and aircraft just come out and fire area of effect weapons instead of clumsily runny around barely shooting 1 tank. They loiter around for a minute just projecting AOE damage then fly home to recharge.

On a side note, I need to update my signature now that I have acquired my 7 level.

A little late but no. No I didn't.

Congrats, so very happy for you. I'm glad to know despite how troublesome things went in life for you, you found your sunshine.
