So Is This Mod Still Being Updated?

the "newest" update was the release of 5.0 and that was quite a while ago, is this mod still being updated or is everyone flocking to generals mods :( ? this is the best TC mod i've played and i dont wanna see it die.

Yes, the mod is being diligently worked on every day by Vinifera7 and myself. We have improved the mod and made many changes and added a bunch of new features. I still don't know when we will release, but the mod has vastly changed since 5.0. I'll let you know when we're about to release, as i'll post here. In the meantime just know that we're working on it and that it isn't abandoned!

We are working on it, but I wouldn't necessarily say that we are working on it "diligently". I do various updates every now and then. Lately I've been trying to work on it a little bit each day. The manual needs to be rewritten completely. That is a humongous job in itself, though I've made a dent in it at least.

 

No, the mod isn't dead, but don't count on it being released anytime soon ;)

A little closer than that...at least consider it out before Duke Nukem Forever...I hope at least...;)

duke nukem rules...but i agree with spikey, it aint coming out in a long time 0800-CALL-A-MOD

If I had access to the beta and the means to rewrite the manual, I'd do it for you with so much pleasure.

 

On a percent scale, just how much of the game is changed?

First, I don't trust you to write the manual. Sorry.

 

Second, I don't really know so I can't answer that question. I'm completely redoing a lot lot lot of stuff, including the entire damage system. The Version 5.0 damage system has a lot of flaws and is biased in favor of Nemesis with insanely overpowered Apocalypse tanks. The new damage system will, among other things, also weaken infantry, but aim to make them an integral part of battles.

I understand about the manual. However, I am a stickler for accuracy and grammer/punctuation/spelling/etc. I could do that.

 

I can't wait for the next version. It'll be great.

The manual is of high quality because Vinifera7 IS the Grammer Naxi. Yes, intentionally spelled 'Naxi.' I'll ensure you receive a beta when it's time. From what I hear, gamemate claims you're an excellent tester. If we think of any way you can contribute, i'll let you know. Thanks for your enthusiasm!

You mean new voices? Cool.

 

I think that Nemesis units, except perhaps the Armageddon, have good voices.

They're also out of control. They see an enemy, they shoot. Very fun.

tmapm and I are both minimalists when it comes to unit selection, so there aren't going to be any new units.. that's for certain.. Nemesis almost has too many, but I don't want to remove the Phlogiston.

 

As for the Scrin, there's a slight chance that they will make an appearance in version 6.0, but don't count on it.
