"work In Progress"-shots

Recommended Posts

so here we go =)

This is an OSvoxelviewerscreenshot of the new german ships i´m working on right now (allied and sovjet ships will mainly be recolors)

The Battleship ingame (out of date)

The first shot of the new Carrier

carrier1.jpg

And last but not least a pic of a Destroyer that will be totally redone :P

destroyer.jpg

hmmm...i see that all of these are out of date... so they´re actually looking alot better

btw. we did´nt try to make copies of "real" ships, but we want to have clear differences between all ships and don´t want to have them as big as they were before

blablabla...

comments?

I think the carrier is fine what kind of carrier in those days was not boxy till the launching of USS Midway in 1945 the first carrier with the modern carrier look

May I suggest you use VXLSE's texture editor bit, and use photoshop to 'dirty' the ships some, especially the ACC's deck. I agree with Mig in that they are really cartoony as is.

phil wanted them like this

and i like them aswell

i think realistic ships (size, etc) do not look ok in RA2 and are a bit confusing

for the dirt and such...maybe later

I kina like the new cartoon look, I think it’s helps to make Blitz & D-day less competitive (not that we are any way :P ) with D-day being realistic & Blitz cartoony fans now have the best of both worlds.

The RA2 vehicles are (mostly) not sprites, and those above are not sprites.

Also, congrats on your mad skills at topic necromancy.

dam so it isnt possible for the battleships to fire all their turrets at once ??? and so that projectiles are visible coming out from all the barrels.
