Merry Christmas! Being old now means traveling and doing Christmas twice so I'll have a few things next weekend when I go see my parents. Today we're with the wife's.

ANYWAYS to get started,

from my brother; the game Secret Hitler and a P.K. Subban Nashville Predators Jersey!

From my wife; a record player, a Nuka Cola growler, an Up Goer 5 xkcd poster, the Little Grumpy Cat that wouldn't book, and Made in North Korea a book about graphic design in the DPRK.

From the wife's family; a new pocket knife, assorted candy and snacks, a $20 steam gift card, and a LEGO NYC skyline set.

Of course I would remember to come back here, and so would you lot. Love you all, and the days will return, I think.

That said, family stuff still coming up, since I'm at weird hours. Probably won't be called into work today (security). That's a very nice haul there. I'll be getting a new chair finally for my workstation, and various other things I don't know yet.

From my wife

Oh right, I forgot. Some of us are making it in life :P

I'm getting there, slowly.

A bottle of 35 year old Glen Moray whiskey, and a boat load of gift cards because I asked for them rather than people try to guess my size in clothes.

Also a subtle hint (warning) from my partners parents that they want grandchildren. Get fucked :)

Harder when it's your own parents. Mom is starting to...I'm surprised she actually held off as long as she did.

I'm still alive, so I didn't get anything I wanted :angry:/>

Wew

This thread is 14 years old. Most of us were barely teenagers in 2003. That actually blows my mind a little.

ANYWAY, here's what I got.

An 8-inch Shun chef's knife

A shitload of chocolate and various cookies

The new carbuncle mount in FFXIV from a friend

Various bottles of liquor from friends & family because I'm an alcoholic

Also I quit my job

When I started this thread I was 15 and must have been a sophomore in high school. Next year's post will make it 15 years old and chronicle half of my life's Christmas gifts. In the mean time I've gone to university, fucked it up, still graduated anyways, got a real job and got married.

This shit is wack.

Your present was the friends you made along the way

So the nothing part still applies.

First: Merry X-MAS  and a happy new year for everyone still reading here!

Haul:

Not much for me this year.

The only real gift was an 25 Euro Amazon gift certificate from my godmother.

I got myself an used "Hunt for Red October" 4k UHD bluray and a new water reservoir for my watercooling system.

I got a toaster! And I asked for it. And the worst thing is, I'm actually excited about it.

Yep, that's my life now.
