first off, the p38 was used in the pacific, this is seeming to be a european mod, second, the p38 wasnt just a cheap fighter, and it enterd the war much later.
i think that they should get p40s or a earlier weaker version of the p47d

Ummm the P-38 was used quite a bit in Europe, considering it was an Army fighter and not a Naval one. Well I agree with you that it should be replaced with the P-47d but it didn't really come in at late war. The U.S. used them throughout their campaign from beggining to end in both Pacific and European, though they did use it more in Europe.

I'm sure they will seeing as how it was the P-51 of the Pacific, in terms of fame and it was a good aircraft.

We design the mod from a gameplay perspective. The P-38 was added so that people who go for the nuke have some sort of fighter/ ground attack plane.

i would like to see the me109, b25, a heavy airfield, light artillery, stationary artillery, halftrack transports both allies and axis, winterized units(skis on inf, camo, etc.), and i think that planes like the mossy should have a secondary weapon, like the bazooka men, the mossy was also a fighter. smurf, give them the hurricane, it can be given cannons that would be used as a fighter and a ground attack.

Most of your suggestions simply make overlaps within the game. From a gameplay perspective, there should only be units we really need.

He's right about the hurricane though, and same with the Half Tracks..

German half tracks mounted MG42s, and carried men, and pulled some arty, don't see why we can't get them early game.. be able to hold its own against early game units, and get the men in, and get out... think a BA10, but upgraded  with a larger troop capacity.

And I think he means BF 109?? Which was more common in the war, and Aces preferred it over the FW, a later design allowed more agility and speed, at the expense of fire power.

Why B25? Just give us a B17 we can control, I'd imagine we'd all whore it into a functional Anti fighter weapon :P It only had over a dozen .50 cals mounted on it.

It was the Me109, "Bf" designated the factory it was built in :P

I do like the idea of the Hurricane for the brits though, esp if it could be INDIVIDUALLY upgraded (like the Pz4 in v026) with AT cannons, as used in N.Africa. That would be a very adaptable and handy addition/repleacement to their armoury, and the Brits were renound for their tweaking fo planes and editions like this, as shown by the 13 (i think off the top of my head) marks of Spitfire. Basically, i like them

I think it would overlap with the Thunderbolt/Il2 too much as a ground attack fighter. I prefer the speedy Mosquito, it's more unique.

Mosquito, IL2, they all fall before the might of the Go229!

Oh, well I just say BF 109, as history tends to call it :(

The Hurricane was a multi purpose fighter, and actually was showing its age, sorta like the 110, though, German planes were notorious about getting the leg up, speed wise, on allied variants

BTW, I remember some one mentioning the whole 30mm bomber thing..it was Shrage Musik installation, used 20mms, aimed up and backwards...so not 30mm.. I knew that was bugging me for some reason.

nah.. i just thinking. the size is different... look at ju-88 and ju-87. totally different size. somewhat equal purpose. but sure ju-87 can be a fighter. :(
