well its ok, but it is kinda sick there are people trying to make stuff like this "cool".

There's nothing cool about Fallujah. Even in a pure military sense : a bunch of civilians with rifles dating from ww1 or Ak47's vs the most modern equipment around.

Its more pussy than "cool".

Supproting troops in a combat situations is all well and good. But when you start trying to compare the men who took Iwo Jima to the US troops in Iraq that just makes me gag. BTW when they did that I closed WMP and deleted that piece of shit. Maybe I'm being too harsh but to me gulf war 2 and it's aftermath have much more in common with the Spainish-American war than it will ever have with WW2.

 

Also it could have something to do with me being a socialist monarchist canadian too.

No! I was referring to the people who try to make this war situation "COOL" with these kinds of "cool movies". Which its NOT!. There's nothing cool about the war in iraq.

 

O and btw very brave those marines who resque each other. Not to degrade marines, for i highly respect the military, however, when you say, "putting their life on the line" are you also referring to the Iraqi civilian who picks up a ww1 gun and fights a much "stronger" force? In terms of bravery, i think that would win. And i dont see this as a real "challenge" in forces. I remember watching the TV, and a reporter said : "well, we are all hoping the US will win the battle of fallujah".

ROFL, i really wet my pants then. I meen its not a point of "winning the battle". It was like a 99 to 1 bet the US would eventually WIN the battle. its doing it with the least amount of casualties which is important.

Maybe you should be more clearer next time. I did quote your entire post and eveyone else that read thought it meant the same thing as me. The real battle is not over and won't be for a long time in Iraq. That is making the country a democracy and "freeing the people". I believe an Iraqi is more dumb to try and fight the occupation then brave. I mean do they really think there helping things and/or themselves when they blow convoys up and shoot at soldiers? I understand that maybe a US plane could have blown there brother up or something, but that has to be rare. If they would just sit back and just listen their lives and the region would eventually turn into a much better place. Sometimes its harder, but better to sit back and do nothing then use violence to solve problems

Also UAV everthing you said was that the US is trying to give Iraq. Was offered to the philipinos 108 years ago after you yanks drove the spainish out of the philipines. What the US gave them was new imperial masters, they took to the hills and started and insurgency that lasted unitl the start of WW1.
