mastermind 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 If it ends up backwards compatible, I might have to get one when it comes out. I should have some cash by then.
Chronomaw 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 Pfft, It wasn't even a 30 minute advertisement, more like 10 minutes with outside advertisements, and gay music.. Anyways, I thought the design concept for it looked wrong for an Xbox, but it after awhile, and seeing upclose video of it, I got used too. The specs are pretty kick ass, but like Mastermind said if it's backwards compatible with the old Xbox games that would definitley be a plus, but I'm already happy with the out of the box Live setup. Bullet_shrapnel 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 I'll wait at least 6 months for both drop in price, and the inevitable problems that will arise from it being rushed into production so hastily to be ironed out. As for being backwards compatable, will it heck.
Stino 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 $300 for base system with no hard drive or backwards compatibility, an extra $100 ($400) for a hard drive and backwards compatibility. You can download the launchparty (MTV) with bittorrent: http://files.tweakers.net/Microsoft/xboxpresentatie.torrent

Silver Mobius 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 an extra $100 ($400) for a hard drive and backwards compatibility. Ewwwww They're not going to give you a hard drive for free, they've got to make at least some money off of the modders.
TopazFreno 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 You know, I'm not happy at all with the shape, colour and size of it, not to mention the controller looks like one of those "Arcade Remake" Consoles. Seriously, if they don't fix it up soon, I'm buying a revolution.
Silver Mobius 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 (edited) You know, I'm not happy at all with the shape, colour and size of it, not to mention the controller looks like one of those "Arcade Remake" Consoles. Seriously, if they don't fix it up soon, I'm buying a revolution. It's a final design, you really think they're going to totally revamp it by November because you don't like the way it looks? It looks fine, besides, you're going to be looking at the TV, not the Xbox. Edited May 13, 2005 by Silver Mobius

TopazFreno 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 No, seriously I was talking about Xbox 360. It looks bad. The controllers are even worse.

another-drifter 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 But ti has good games on it. Besides, I'm going to try the 360 first. Your a hypocrite, to the max. No realy, if you care about the way one gamesystem looks, them you have to care how all the game systems look. Other wise your systemist, and systemists flat out suck. mastermind 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 But ti has good games on it. Besides, I'm going to try the 360 first. FACT: God hates fanboys. That said, are you sure about the pricing with and without a HD? I don't think MS has even commented on cost, or anything like that. And really, if you look at the hardware, $300 or even $400 is a good deal. I'm guessing the PS3 will come out at around $300, and this will have been out a while, and already hit at least one price drop. I also look forward to the wireless capability. That means I'll actually be able to use Live, as I have wireless access here, but not easy access to a wired jack.
Big_Jack 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 Nintendo revolution looks gay and is like a copy of the ps2,and has a big button that says something gay. Really? I've never seen what it looks like. Can you post a pic of it? (I don't care how dumb it looks, I just want to see it)
mastermind 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 I'm 99% sure that there aren't pictures of it out. Neither the PS3 or the Revolution have been unveiled or anything like that.
Sc4Freak 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 US$300? For the Xbox 360? Sounds extremely cheap, if you ask me. (Just buying a graphics card for your PC which even approaches the one in the Xbox 360 will cost you US$550)
Darth Andrew 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 Based on the picture, imagine the Xbox 360 in your room. Most likely your room is dark, messy, and probably not that cheerful-looking. Then seeing the blinding Xbox 360 in all of it's bright 'n white glory. One phrase could describe this situation: I see the light, and it BURNS! I hope it comes in at least one other color. Chronomaw 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 (edited) There's going to be a dozen different colored face plates you can put on it. Also, Stino, Your facts are bullshit, It says on the Microsoft page that it comes with a 20gb hard drive. No comments on the price, or backwards compatibility yet. mastermind 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 I'm guessing there is no comment yet because they aren't sure if it will be or not. The media reading is easy. The hard part is emulating an Xbox on the Xbox 360 due to the completely different hardware. I believe they also need to pay Nvidia to emulate the former video system. I think it can be done, but they don't want to say anything and risk it not working out.

Big_Jack 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2005 Went from 4 controllers to 2...why? Because they are greedy bastards and want to force you to buy the connector or Xbox live in order to play a good multiplayer.
