I wouldnt say the forum is being "hijacked"...dont be so uptight about it, let the conversation evolve. if push comes to shove, i will start a north korea section. Anyways nobody has really answered my question if even discussing iraq has a point, you guys dont seem to like ideas from anyone outside of the team.

Its easy to make the nuke, however very difficult to obtian the supplies needed. I have to agree with airbornkev, I hope to provoke a response and I AM NOT LOOKING FOR TRUEWAR 2! I am talking about THIS mod. The north koreans, they have MBTs and the such but do you remember that iraq also had a "million man army"? They are poorly trained, poorly fed, and poorly equipped compared to the united states. By saying that they have "nothing to lose" is like saying they would just commit suicide, they would have to nuke the entire world if they decided to attack south korea with the damned things. If that happened the whole world would attack them. ^ I have to go with what he said, south korea is a very well equipped country. They can take care of themselves not "alabama white boys".

That isnt even out yet, this one is and I was trying to clear up a misunderstanding over what exactly this Mod is about. I figured because of the use of realistic weaponry this mod was realistic. So i am wrong. My apologies for suggesting, but i thought this forum was for simple discussion of what PEOPLE LIKE AND WHAT THEY DONT LIKE about THIS mod.

I understand that the teams plans for the mod are different than real-world events, however when I first started playing this mod I thought that its intention was to make generals a more realistic game. What happened to this? It seems like a lot of people I know who play this with me would be sad to see the technicals go, i'm ok with this but I guess I did have the idea of AAOWs iraq totally wrong. To be honest, I don't ever play the campaigns. I just play skirmishes and make them how I want to play them. I apologise for coming across as so self centered. But I'm NOT going to stop playing this mod even if the technicals go. but for some reason its just too hard to swallow! haha Please tell me if these suggestions AND requests are helping, or if i am wasting our time. other than that... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

ok, i read the faction manual. seems pretty good. although iraq should at least have a small aspect of guerrilla tactics in my opinion. Do you still want to hear any ideas from me (and other fans) or is it just clogging the threads?

I am downloading the demo right now, it looks like a really good game. I think they finally tried to balance out the infantry aspect of it, whereas generals infantry is meat for the grinder.

Im actually pretty happy with the whole idea of iraq, i have always wanted to recreate the gulf war in generals. My vote is to keep Iraq and I was hoping that the "insurgent" aspect would be included as sort of a smaller part of iraq. As for north korea, I wouldnt want another middle eastern country included...but i cant think of another nation that would add some variety to the game. I would stick to the plan.

North Korea would be the one getting the "top of the line" equipment from Russia? I was under the impression that Iraq was going to have 70s-80s style equipment, but still maintaining its guerrilla style tactics. And that North Korea would be getting slightly more modern equipment. like, iraq would get the shika and maybe north korea would get the 2s6m tanguska.tanguska

Hello, its been a while since I posted here. But i have played an act of war a lot with friends over the internet...and i must say it is good, but it needs a little balancing. I hear you guys are going to get rid of technicals for iraq? i personally think that that is a a good as well as bad idea. while many of the insurgents in iraq dont have mounted guns on their cars, they do use them to get around quickly in the local populace. My idea was to have a basic technical, paint it a prettier, more realistic color, take the machine gun off and use it to quickly transport your insurgents around town. Personally i think its a little scary that we are at war as we speak with iraq, and we play a game. I dont have a problem with it, just keep in mind whats going on. I will see if i can post some pictures of iraqi units just to get the noodle going. but please keep in mind i am only suggesting ideas. dont get mad or tell me you have already thought about it.
