    The Actual Iraqi Faction Manual

The Faction manual does state several upgrades for tank weaponry including PINCER rounds, DP Rounds, RAP rounds, and Sniper rounds. Note, these have been listed in a simplified manner for a general audience and do not need to be corrected with jargon, thank you. ;)

    The Actual Iraqi Faction Manual

Iraq rebuilds with the help of foreigners as well as with it's own indiginous potential. Aside from the top acedemia in the Middle East in the fields of engineering and such, other countries would chip in. But just because France helps out does not mean you will see Lecercs. Think of it like this, Iraq aquires technology for missile guidence systems and tank system technology regarding fire control systems, and better ways of manufacturing things. REverse engineer the best stuff from around the world and synthesize it by combinding it all together and viola, you get the result of foreign aid. Mix that with the considerable boost in indiginouse ability and you got a war machine.

As far as I know, Iraq will not have SCUDS. We are trying to stay away from the GLA image.

    The Actual Iraqi Faction Manual

Iraq's arsenal does include a variety of indiginously created units: Assad Babl-2 is more like a FrankenTank than much. The Akbar Assad is even more homegrown. The Ababeel MLRS is all home grown, the BTR, Havocs, Super Flankers, and others are also homegrown to an extent. When you see the final renders of these things eventually, you'll know what I mean. :P

Thanks. Though we hope that people new to the game won't find the idea of a militarily powerful and modern Iraq to be that wierd. Since we are adding more factions to the game it makes sense that they all be balanced and not overpowered. Whether or not the idea of one particular faction being overwhelmingly overpowered is realistic, do keep in mind that we have to satisfy a general audience.

    The Actual Iraqi Faction Manual

Well this is something I have mentioned here over and over, the main reasons I stuck to Arabic names was to avoid arguments over accuracy regarding things. Hey, I'm a tread head too, but numbers and designations get people worked up. Before this we were getting lots of people quoting the same sources on irrelevent details so I thought that keeping it broader would make it easier for the general audience rather than only please harcore guys.

I'm not sure I follow what you are saying. If you are asking whether or not we have taken people's suggestions into consideration then you will be happy to know that suggestions such as the use of burning oil fields have been made into key theme for the game. However, if you had questions or comments about specific things about the faction list I would like to hear them. If you wondering whether some of the units will NOT be in the game, well some of the units and stuff are either single player mission only units while others are general specific.

Well the Iraqi list of units is designed to be as short as any other of the original factions. Inother words, just the units that are required. 2 tanks, 1 anti-air, 1 infantry type, several infantry types, and a small air-force.

Yes and no. Iraq will be able to use a propaganda weapon such as an American Gunship or Chinese Bomber (fake ones but real to the eye). The weapon has indirect effects as listed in the faction manual.

An Act Of War In Real Iraq

Silentsoldier, how you like to be IN the game? If you, fellow soldiers, and even Iraqi soldiers are interested, lemme know. With your help we can take this game to a whole new level.

    Iraq

Guys, this forum is called Iraq: suggestions amd Ideas. Not Korea. So stop this or I will close this forum. It is being hijacked by the Korean arguement.

    Iraq

We are doing this to simplify things as well as even the playing field between Iraq and America. Look, just think of it like this: the Iraqi dictator does to Iraq what Hitler did to Germany leading up to their respective wars in terms of rebuilding and restructuring. If you think of it like that I hope you can see how such a feat could be accomplished. However, it seems to me that most people seem to really underestimate Iraqis' ability to do anything. I wonder why this is so.

    An Idea

AAOW takes place between 2011-12. Modern enough to be modern which is what AAOW is all about while giving the world ample time to become what it needs to be. Furthermore, it was in 2012 I think that the second Korean War happened according to the Zero Hour manual. This is also the time when the first Overlord tanks are shown to the public. Warguardian, the guerilla faction attacking the American mainland is actually a very well trained, well financed, and well equiped. - As for North Korea, first let me say that it is planned to a certain degree. NK will be a faction that relies on Special Forces with less emphasis on vehicles. At the point when AAOW takes place, NK has progressed in many areas including its military and nuclear capabilities. - Here's is how NK will fit so far: Post Iraq GLA South East Asian Sector conducts raids across the Chinese boarders including weapons depots and nuclear sites. The Chinese government sees this action as the work of Taiwanese sympathizers and other various seperatist groups throughout Western and Southern China. - The GLA is working with North Korea. - China's war with Taiwan begins while America's military is still reeling and not prepared to assist the island nation due to many obvious reasons. - North Korea takes advantage of the situation and overruns South Korea with the help of the GLA. The American garrisons were removed to fight in Iraq. - China and NK are the ones who have the major war. America agrees not to intervene with Taiwan in exchange for allowing the Americans to fight NK. This becomes the first incident where America and "Communist" China cooperate. - An American task force is sent from Iraq to the Sea of Japan. - Following this incident, there is much reform in the Chinese government though they continue to struggle with the GLA throughout the years leading up to Generals. - It should be nooted that this story is still in the works.
