I remember PcTeen/evilviking saying that North Korea will use alot of Chinese tech, possibly the J-10 fighter they have. Which IMO is an excellent selection of units. The SU-30 would probably feel to simular to Iraq's SU-37, the MiG 1.44 I'm pretty sure people had enough of it in vanilla generals, and the Su-27 also falls along the same lines as the Su-30..

I would say Mig-29's. Its closer to their tech level. Maybe they could also use some older aircraft like MiG-21's and Su-25's.

Yep this seems to be what they're working on atm - on getting Mig-29s and Su-25s...

I guess it comes down to what the story line for NK is, have they modernaized a lot, more money.... etc..
I mean if we are to use real life NK it would be mig21 and mig29

MiG-29s as their best fighters. MiG-21s as light fighters and MiG-17s as ground attack fighters.

Not to futuristic, If i'm not mistaken(correct me if i am) this timeline takes place between 2008-2010.
Maybe a slightly improved MiG-29s as their best fighters. MiG-21-93s(modrenized Mig-21)as light fighters and SU-25s(Frogfoots, I think?) as ground attack fighters

Well, doesn't it have to be pretty futuristic? I mean, Iraq makes a comeback, from crappy army in 2005 to one of the best in 2008. tongue.gif So Korea should be be somewhat more advanced than Iraq. biggrin.gif

Umm... wrong. huh.gif You missed one of the most important parts of the AAOW storyline:

The Second Gulf War never happened.

laugh.gif

Iraq had about 18 years to rebuild, with a lot of outside help.

I dont think it would be "crappy". I would say it would have decent tech (T-72's, MiG-29's, etc) but huge numbers.

Ok, from 1990 to 2008. Thats still pretty good from going to crap to being able to rival America in Military strength head on. And Korea is alot farther ahead of them. So Korea should be a tad bi more advanced.

P.S. The Soviets weren't in the right condition to help anybody back then. tongue.gif
