I believe the term "shit was cash" roughly translates to "things were good".

I am American, and I think most of us have cars, or at least an airport nearby. Wouldn't be that hard to meet up. It cost me about 75 pounds to get to London and back to base, that's about 122 bucks. its more expensive to travel in Europe.
I checked, its 77 miles from base to London, so 154 miles round trip, according to my calculations, if i average 27 mpg highway in my car, thats just over 5 gallons, being generous on gas prices, $3.80 a gallon, it'd cost me 22 bucks to make that trip in the states.
So when you think about it, the travel in the states is super cheap when compared to Europe. Ofcourse you have to consider them flying over here would be pricey, but if they happened to be over here for what ever purpose, like I was. Then a meetup would be cheaper and easier than if we were there.

You mean it's expensive to travel in Britain. We get ripped off royally for public transport, and it's far from the best in Europe.
Thinking about it, we also get severely ripped off for petrol too.

I use a Canon XSi (450d). Few years old now but runs like a champ.
