This is a bit of an experiment really. More to see if anyone bothers to take part if I host *fairly* regular modeling competitions, something I've wanted to do with killasmods for a while.

To start off, the subject of our first competition is spaceships.

You can make anything from movies, games or from your own minds, as long as you make it yourself. Texture isn't required because I will be focusing on clean tidy modeling, but the more badass it looks the better chances of winning. Anyone who can fiddle with a 3d mesh may enter.

Submission date Monday 4th August, which gives you two (2) weeks. Grand prize is Phoib's air guitar.

Normandy from Mass Effect methinks. Is there a level of detail required? Or is it just a make it look as kick ass as you possibly can?

Spaceships... that´s capital class battlecruisers only or also smaller fighters?

Well I have a WIP, but I think it will remain in progress until after the deadline has passed. I go on holiday for two weeks on wednesday, and can't take my computer with me. But here's what I have so far anyway. I was having some trouble with the rounded portion at the back of the main fuselage, which caused me to lose interest briefly, which caused me to forget I ever started.



Anyway, there we go.

The real thing.

Finished the base model for the engines... now the next step is hoping that it´ll blend well with the fuselage design.
