I built this model a long time ago. It's the German Tiger tank from WW2, one of the most feared tanks of the conflict.
When the Allies first encountered the Tiger, they had nothing to match it. It's armour couldn't be penetrated by any Allied gun and it mounted the 88mm Kwk 43 L/71 gun, the most effective and feared tank gun of the war. Some reports state the Tiger taking out enemy tanks at ranges greater than a mile, the longest ranged direct fire kills of the war.
I recently started overhauling work on the model to bring the detailing and modeling quality up to scratch, starting with the wheels and treads.
