The Soviet Union's huge production capacity coupled with lend-lease aid from the USA means a vast number of light vehicles. These form the backbone of any army, allowing for the rapid movement of supplies and reserves to battle zones. The Soviet philosophy of overwhelming numbers and rapid assault relies on this huge transport capacity and it enables them to have huge assaults featuring thousands upon thousands of men.
The Gaz truck is a Soviet version of the classic Ford AA built under licence. The primary quality of the truck is that it is easy to mass produce. In Red Army service it functions to rapidly move troops and supplies allowing for mechanised assaults. A special version is availible at the Command Centre which carries cash which allows for funds to be sent to an ally.
The Voroshilovets is another prime-mover for the Soviet Union. It is a tractor which means it can cross the muddy terrain of the battlefield much more easily than a truck and do it carrying a heavier load. It is also used for pulling larger artillery.
The Katyusha is an improvised rocket launcher. It is a Gaz or Studebaker truck with a series of launch rails on the back. It is terribly innaccurate, even compared to artillery , but the low cost allows commanders to use many launchers together. The saturation effect is deadly, and since all the rockets fire at once the launcher can then be moved to a safe location to reload
Bulldozers are essential for any large scale construction. Bulldozers are used to build all the buildings in the Soviet roster and to keep them repaired and in good working order. While unarmed this role makes them the cornerstone of any war effort. Since they are only produced at the command centre, it is essential to keep spares on hand in case it is destroyed and needs to be rebuilt.
